| News: We are in the process of integrating the message board with the main site. Things may look a little strange for a while, but everything should function the same. Thank you for your patience. |

I am hoping to have some time off work so that in November-December, I may be able to come across the pond. Nothing in this section on Rachael BUT I plan to see The Ideal Husband during that time. I have never been to London let alone Europe. Does anyone have any travel suggestions re: jet lag, hotel reservations, West End, tickets, Soho, and so on. Probably will be able to travel between mid-November and mid-December. What kind of clothes will keep me warm yet flexible due to weather change? Where is the ideal place to stay? Some of the tourist attractions and history of the UK are of interest to me. How would you rank the best five or so things to see while in London? Any safe lesbian places to go? I expect to be with my partner or a friend but if I come alone where will I be safe walking the streets day or night. Here is hoping that I am able to meet some of you for a spot of tea. |

Bonnie, I think that an integration of the Msg Board and the R-S Online site is a great idea. I often find myself going aback and forth so this will help tremendously. You have the greatest ideas and I don't have a clue how it all comes together. Sometimes my computer-challenged ignorance is bliss. Thanks for taking on all of this work. Chris
P.S. What is Rachaelizing? ![]() |

Hi Chris, this was actually only meant to be a temporary change (see the top news bar) while I integrate the message board with the main site. However I'm running into some difficulty integrating it so may make something of this blue layout, if it's what you prefer? Obviously it'll need some "Rachael-ising" with some images but it could work.

This new blue background is terrific for my eyes. Looks even more professional too. Bonnie how did you think of this?

I just read the book and to be honest its rather boring. Much of the book is simply reading memos about the project. Although Rachael's roll is a small one it will be a fun one for her. Mary Jones is a rather bland career driven woman. For example, she gave her husband a replacement brush for his electric tootbrush. What a warm and thoughtful gift for their wedding anniversary.
The actual project sounds like it might be plausible yet there is some interesting politics associated with this quixotic exploration. |

I wonder what's out there for her to try?
Like most American's, and I assume in the UK as well, I prefer the things the British do so well. Comedy. Mystery and period drama. What's that leave? Reality shows? Not like the moronic shows over here but kind od an "EastEnders", "All or Nothing" sort of drama. I just have to wait to see most of her stuff and it's always so damned good, I want more. Oh well..... |

Yes David, that is exactly what I meant. She did say that she would like to be in a series as it would mean steady work with a steady paycheck. She made this statement in an interview but I don't remember the date of the article. |

Did I say megastardom? I did not mean anything close to that. My thought was simply that it would be nice if she appeared in projects that would allow more pennies in her life and bank account. It is nice to see that you support her privacy and anonymity. I do too. I'm not sure if she isn't happy right where she is in all aspects of her life but like you, I'd like to see her a bit more often. I wonder if she'd pick up a series? Most UK series are of a higher quality but sometimes too short. A season or two. I think that would be right for her. A couple of seasons doing something on BBC. Comedy, mystery. Something gritty. |
